About Mark McQuery

Mark McQueryMark grew up in San Francisco and has been acting, singing and playing musical instruments since childhood. He received a B.A. from the University of the Pacific and a M.F.A. in theater from the University of California at San Diego. He has performed a wide variety of theater roles from Shakespeare to “Street Car Named Desire”. Mark starred in two stage productions for Tony award winning director Alan Schneider, and also did a short stint in Hollywood doing various small roles on TV including “The Young and the Restless” and some fledgling cable programs. He has sung in numerous musicals as well as a few operas, up and down the west coast of United States. The largest music venue was a performance at the Glastonbury Festival in England for an audience of 40,000.

Mark enjoys playing his own original pieces now available on CD as well as a variety of new arrangements of Motown, Jazz, Blues and Folk along with some Rock and Country. Mark is grateful to finally settle down after having moved back here over twenty years ago from London. He is very happily employed as a plumber here in Denver. His friends call him the “Singing Plumber”. Mark seems equally delighted either to play guitar and sing for you, or to fix your water leaks. Perhaps both at the same time if you like!
